Free Curriculum Through Food Friends!

 

Developed by the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University, the Food Friends program is designed to promote healthful habits and school readiness skills among preschool aged children. Preventative Healthcare Practice

This class meets part of the Community Care Licensing 15-hour health and safety requirement. Providers must take this 7 hour Preventative Health class once. This course dose not need to be renewed. In consideration of other participants and the Instructor, children are not allowed in class. EMSA Certified. Please note no refunds will be given/no space held without payment. Space is limited, register soon. Please pack a snack or lunch.

Family Child Care at its Best: 

Serving Children with Special Needs


 

Saturday, January 10th

9:00 am-2:30 pm

 

Sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Child Development, UC Davis. Providers are faced with special considerations and challenges, depending upon the needs of each child. This advanced workshop allows an opportunity to discuss how providers can include children with special needs in their program.

 

No late admittance. Please do not bring children.

Please bring a bag lunch. Continuing Education Units (professional growth hours)

Participants will receive 0.5 continuing education units for each 5-hour class and 1.0 continuing education unit for each 10-hour class, providing that they attend the entire class.

Pediatric CPR-AED & First Aid Training

This class meets the Community Care Licensing 15-hour health and safety requirement.
To maintain certification, the CPR class must be repeated every two years.

Challenging Behavior in Young Children

Music and Movement for 
Children with Special Needs

Children thrive on music. It's one of the best vehicles for learning in early childhood development. Psychologists, neuroscientists, and experts in early childhood development have demonstrated that music does more for children than bring them joy; it helps their brain cells make the connections needed for virtually every kind of intelligence. Participants will learn how a music and movement program improves the development of children with special needs. Please bring comfortable shoes!!

Esta clase cubre el requisito establecida por licenciatura como  parte de 15 horas necesarias para obtener la licencia de cuidado infantil. Los proveedores deben repetir la clase de RCP Pediátrica cada dos ( 2 ) años para mantener la certificación. En consideración a los demás participantes y el instructor , los niños no están permitidos en la clase. Aprobado por EMSA y Certificado. No se darán reembolsos / ni espacio detenido sin pago.
