KQED Early Learning Science Workshop Series Part 2

Me and My Shadow! Explore the Science of Shadows

Preschoolers are intrigued by their shadows and explore with their bodies to make all kinds of shadowy figures! Join KQED for this educator workshop series and learn to turn their curiosity into knowledge by investigating the science of shadows. With help from PBS friends like Curious George and Peep from Peep and the Big Wide World, you'll walk away with concrete strategies to nurture science inquiry and lots of ready-to-use lessons for your preschoolres.

Each workshop focuses on using educational PBS media and connecting hands-on activities to the viewing experience. Participants also learn how digital media can be a valuable tool for teaching and documenting children's learning.
